New Alcohol Certification System in Taiwan.

Since October 2003, Taiwan's Ministry of Finance has introduced the alcohol quality certification system. Alcohol products that apply for certification must pass a quality review, on-site assessments, and product tests. They are then reviewed by the Certification Technical Committee before being allowed to use the "W" certification mark. Today, MOF-certified manufacturers include five companies, comprising six production lines: Taiwan Tobacco & Liquor Corporation, Nantou Winery & Distillery, King Car Food Industrial Co., Ltd. Yuan Shan Factory, Daan Mellow Co., Ltd., Shung Tang Lai Jia Co., Ltd., and Sinyi Township Farmers' Association.
